If AXOR is the design-led halo brand of the Hansgrohe Group, Hansgrohe is the engineering-led one — the company that has spent more than a century quietly inventing the technologies the rest of the industry eventually adopts. Founded in 1901 in the small Black Forest town of Schiltach, Germany, Hansgrohe is the rare luxury plumbing manufacturer that can credibly claim to have shaped the modern shower itself: the first wall-mounted hand shower in 1928, the first multi-spray hand shower, the first thermostatic mixer for residential use. More than 700 design awards later, Hansgrohe remains the engineering benchmark by which serious German plumbing is measured.

Recent Releases. The 2025-2026 product cycle has been one of the strongest in years. Activera, launched in March 2025, brings FlexPower elastic-nozzle technology to a more accessible price point — two spray modes (Rain and ImpactRain), a Select push-button, and EcoSmart+ flow limitation that reduces water consumption by up to 60% without losing pressure. Raindance Alive introduces a striking linear overhead shower with sculptural presence — recognized with an iF Gold Award in 2025. Tecturis E and Tecturis S reinterpret the bathroom faucet in two complementary design languages — angular and rounded — both with side-operated handles that minimize splashing and limescale, and EcoSmart+ flow rates as low as 4 L/min. The new Pulsify hand showers carry the brand's PowderRain microdroplet technology into a softer, more organic silhouette. In the kitchen, Talis N Semi-Pro PowderSpray delivers commercial-grade performance with a residential profile.

Spray Technology That Sets the Standard. Hansgrohe's PowderRain, AirPower, FlexPower, and EcoSmart technologies aren't marketing names — they're the result of decades of fluid-dynamics research at the company's Aquademie testing facility. PowderRain transforms each water droplet into thousands of microfine droplets for an enveloping, splash-free shower. AirPower mixes air into the stream to halve water use without sacrificing volume. EcoSmart+ products meet the strictest WaterSense standards by a wide margin.

The Quality Promise. Every Hansgrohe product is backed by a 5-year manufacturer's warranty — extended to 20 years for ceramics. The new iBox Universal 2 valve system installs twice as fast as its predecessor and is fully compatible with both Hansgrohe and AXOR trim, giving designers and architects unmatched specification flexibility on rough-in.
